INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE, STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

It is important to follow the instructions for use to obtain maximum protection.

Tear along one side of the individual wrapping, removing the condom carefully. Avoid handling it with fingernails, jewellery, sharp objects, etc because they can damage the latex condom.

Place the condom on the erect penis before there is any contact with your partner’s body. This helps to prevent the transmission of many sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and pregnancy.

Place the condom over the end of the penis with the roll on the outside. With one hand pinch the teat of the condom to expel any trapped air; this will make space for the semen. Air trapped inside a condom could cause it to break.

Using the other hand, unroll the condom down the entire length of the penis.

Soon after ejaculation, withdraw the penis whilst it is still erect, holding the condom firmly in place. Wait until the penis is fully withdrawn before removing the condom. Be very carefully not to spill any semen and ensure that the condom does not slip off.

Remove the condom and dispose it hygienically. Wrap it in a tissue and place it in a waste bin, do not flush it down the toilet.

If the individual wrapping is obviously damaged, discard the condom. Use a new one from an undamaged individual wrapping.

Use a new condom every time you have sex. If condom is brittle, sticky or shows any visible signs of damage, do not use it.

If the condom rolls up during intercourse, unroll it back to the base of the penis immediately. If the condom comes off, it can be damaged, withdraw the penis and put on a new condom before intercourse continues.

The condom is for single use only. If the condom is used more than once, it increases the risk of it tearing and being damaged, the transmission of STDs and pregnancy. Never wash it.

In case of tearing or slipping the condom, semen can come into contact with your partner. If the condom is used to prevent pregnancy, it is advisable to seek appropriate medical attention from a Health Centre or Family Planning Service within 72 hours.

If condoms come into contact with areas of shaved pubic hair or piercing, it may increase the risk of them tearing and being damaged.

If you need additional lubrication, use only water-based lubricants such as glycerine. Do not use oil-based lubricants such as petroleum jelly, paraffin, baby oil, body lotions, massage oils, butter, margarine, etc as they can damage the latex condom.

Non-vaginal use of condoms may increase the risk of them slipping or being damaged.

Some topical medicines may affect the efficacy of latex condoms on contact. Consult a doctor or pharmacist on the compatibility of these products with latex condoms prior to use.

Warning: This product contains natural rubber latex. The latex or spermicide lubricant could cause allergic contact dermatitis or irritation; if this happens to you or your partner, consult your doctor.

Check the expiry date printed on the case and individual wrapping.

Keep the condoms in a cool place away from sunlight and heat.

Do not take the condom out of the individual wrapping until immediately prior to use.

DIRECTIONS FOR PROTECTION AGAINST SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES

When you use latex condoms properly, they can prevent the transmission of many sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) such as syphilis, gonorrhoea, infections by chlamydia, genital herpes, genital warts, hepatitis B or AIDS.

The use of condoms does not completely eliminate the risk.

STDs can be transmitted during close contacts through body fluids or injuries, therefore the condom must be put on before any contact.
